Fearless Wallet dev team migrates from SORAMITSU to create Nova Wallet — an unbiased, community-oriented mobile app for Polkadot & Kusama ecosystem

- Fearless Wallet core dev team migrates from SORAMITSU to create Nova Wallet — an unbiased, community-oriented mobile app for Polkadot & Kusama which is focused on convenient UX/UI, fast performance & security, aiming to provide as many ecosystem features to the users as possible.
- Nova team (ex. Fearless Wallet core dev team) is willing to continue collaboration with ecosystem partners (such as Karura, Moonbeam, Kilt and SubQuery) & with Kusama Council to support further mobile apps & native libraries for Substrate mobile development.
- After working on the Fearless Wallet project with SORAMITSU, the Nova team will now create a new app & brand based on the forked open source code with Apache 2.0 license.
- SORAMITSU will continue to develop Fearless Wallet on its own with a new engineering team behind it. We are wishing good luck with further development & willing to help and support them & their new team in a form of a partner relationship in the ecosystem.
It is always a challenge to create something new. The Nova team (ex. Fearless Wallet dev team) made a decision to leave SORAMITSU and focus on bringing community-oriented & top-notch applications for Kusama & Polkadot ecosystem, which will be unbiased to any network, without any limitations or restrictions. We are willing to cooperate with the ecosystem on continuing to bring the best experience and as many features as we can. We believe that we will succeed due to the fact that previously our team handled most of the product development lifecycle — from proposals/contracts composition to the implementation & testing of the end product.
As the next steps, we are going to create & publish the Nova Wallet apps to the Google Play & AppStore, which will include multi-asset & new tokens feature since it was our team who promised to the Kusama community to deliver this as an outcome of the recent proposal. We would appreciate the support from the community members in order to eliminate any misinformation & we are willing to provide transparency of this transition and situation. Thank you.
